北京时间 2022年12月7日,《生物多样性公约》第十五次缔约方大会(COP15)第二阶段会议在加拿大蒙特利尔正式开幕。
此次第二阶段会议,云南省共组建 8 个代表团参会,包括云南省政府代表团,昆明市政府代表团等。会议期间,云南代表团将举办一系列活动,向世界介绍云南,展示我省在生物多样性保护方面收获的经验,取得的成就
记者王云获悉,云南省政府代表团将携带 15个重要 NGO 机构前往蒙特利尔参会,其中包括云南省对缅经济企业合作协会,云南省环保联合会,云南省绿色发展研究会等。这些机构将在会议期间展示云南在生物多样性保护与可持续发展方面的实践与成果。
记者致电云南省对缅经济企业合作协会获悉,该协会将由荣誉主席,会长及终身会员代表组成的7人代表团队前往蒙特利尔参会。“我们希望向 COP15 的所有参与国展示云南是如何做到人与自然和谐相处,真正做到生物的多样性保护的。”协会代表之一的符女士向记者传达了这一信息,“云南中国最具代表性的植物王国,我们希望将云南在保护动植物多样性方面的经验传递给更多国家,讲好云南故事,传递云南信念。”
据悉,第二阶段会议期间,云南还将参加中国—魁北克合作论坛主题推介会,借助该平台进一步介绍云南,宣传云南,推介云南,与各方寻求更多合作
Yunnan–Myanmar Economic Cooperation Association Delegation Attends COP15 Second Phase Meeting
Beijing time, December 7, 2022, the second phase of the 15th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP15) officially opened in Montreal, Canada.
For this second phase meeting, Yunnan Province organized eight delegations to participate, including the delegation of the Yunnan Provincial People’s Government and the delegation of the Kunming Municipal People’s Government. During the conference, the Yunnan delegations will hold a series of activities to introduce Yunnan to the world and showcase the province’s experience and achievements in biodiversity conservation.
According to reporter Wang Yun, the delegation of the Yunnan Provincial People’s Government will bring along 15 important NGO organizations to Montreal, including the Yunnan–Myanmar Economic Cooperation Association, the Yunnan Environmental Protection Federation, and the Yunnan Green Development Research Association. These organizations will demonstrate Yunnan’s practices and achievements in biodiversity conservation and sustainable development during the conference.
When contacted by phone, the Yunnan–Myanmar Economic Cooperation Association confirmed that it would send a seven-member delegation composed of its Honorary Chairman, current Chairman, and Lifetime Members to Montreal. “We hope to show all COP15 participants how Yunnan has achieved harmony between people and nature and truly advanced biodiversity conservation,” said Ms. Fu Yan one of the Association’s representatives. “As China’s most representative ‘Kingdom of Plants,’ Yunnan wishes to share its experiences in protecting biodiversity of flora and fauna with more countries, tell Yunnan’s story well, and convey Yunnan’s commitment.”
It is reported that during the second phase meeting, Yunnan will also participate in the China–Quebec Cooperation Forum Promotion Event, using the platform to further present Yunnan, promote Yunnan, and seek more opportunities for cooperation with international partners.
